Volunteer activity report
Time: 12:30-14:30, March 24, 2025
Event location: Kings Point Park
Organizational unit: AYLUS Great Neck Branch
Activity content: fertilizer expansion in forest in spring
Activity overview
On the afternoon of March 23, 2025, volunteers from the AYLUS Great Neck Branch held a meaningful volunteer activity in Kings Point Park, with the primary task of fertilizer expansion in the spring forest. The main purpose of this activity is to contribute to the ecological environment of the park by scientifically and rationally applying natural fertilizers to improve soil fertility.
Active process
After the activity began, volunteers used rakes, iron picks and other tools to evenly spread the fertilizer that had been piled up on the ground. These fertilizers are composed of natural organic matter such as burnt straw, animal manure, branches and leaves, which help improve soil quality and promote plant growth. Throughout the process, the volunteers have a clear division of labor and cooperate efficiently to ensure uniform coverage of fertilizer.
Activity meaning
The volunteer activity not only improved the soil quality of the park, but also enhanced the volunteers’ environmental awareness and teamwork ability. Through their personal involvement in ecological conservation, they learned the importance of environmental protection work and contributed their own strength to the local community.
Summary and prospect
The volunteer activities of Kings Point Park were successfully completed, and the volunteers promoted the sustainable development of the ecological environment through practical actions. In the future, we look forward to holding more similar environmental protection activities to call on more people to participate and jointly safeguard the natural environment on which we depend
