On March 22nd, Syosset AYLUS members visited a CP Nassau Group Home in Farmingdale to celebrate a resident’s birthday and do fun activities with them.
The first activity we did was help celebrate the birthday of a resident. We sang “Happy Birthday,” and shared cupcakes with her. After the celebration, we did an arts and crafts session where residents did crafts like coloring and drawing. Then, we played games like connect 4, Bingo, and other games. Everyone had a great time laughing and working together!
This visit taught us the importance of kindness and inclusion. Seeing the residents smile made the experience truly special. We look forward to visiting again and bringing more fun activities in the future!
