Activity & Impact
On March 8, 2025, four members of the AYLUS North Hollywood branch participated in a community cleanup event from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM. We collaborated with the Trash Humans of Silver Lake, a community group dedicated to maintaining the cleanliness and beauty of the Silver Lake area. They organize weekly trash pickup events to foster community engagement and environmental stewardship.
During the event, we walked along Sunset Boulevard, collecting litter and debris. Our AYLUS volunteers gathered approximately ten full buckets of trash, while other participants also contributed significantly during the two-hour cleanup. Collectively, our group covered around 1.5 miles, with all groups together covering approximately 5 miles in the area. After the cleanup, participants were treated to complimentary ice cream from Pazzo Gelato.
