Inspired by iPAD Club held at Fellowship Village, AYLUS Basking Ridge extended our technology support program to more senior living communities. Our members contacted Ridge Oak Senior Center and hosted our first Tech Support event at The Ridge Oak (Address: 150 Manchester Drive, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920) Our members introduced themselves and AYLUS Basking Ridge to the seniors. They explained the Tech Support both in Madarin and Englsh. They also explained what technology problems they helped with in the past. With good communicating, they helped several seniors with their questions about their emails and iphones. It was a great event. We hope to develop a regular program in Ridge Oak in the near future. Volunteers helped seniors on questions regarding how to set up mail and messages, as well as saving phtotos from emails. Additionally, they helped with issues regarding using an ipod, deleting unwanted apps, and changing passwords for devices. Volunteers also helped with issues about moving google docs to a seniors home screen, and connecting a keyboard to their iPad. Finally, seniors had some questions about how to connect their headphones to their tv, as well as organizing the notes app.
