On March 10th, the AYLUS Auburn Branch volunteered at The Food Bank of East Alabama (355 Industry Dr, Auburn, AL 36832) from 1pm to 3pm. The mission of the Food Bank of East Alabama is to nourish lives through a strong and equitable hunger relief network while multiplying the generosity of a caring community. Our volunteers actively participated in tasks including sorting food items and cleaning up food containers. It was a gratifying and uplifting experience to contribute to FBEA’s mission just before Thanksgiving.
Our group also collected 60 lbs. of food from the local Asian Supermarket (3750 Pepperell Pkwy, Opelika, AL 36801) and donated it to the Food Bank of East Alabama. Many thanks to the Asian Supermarket!
