On February 22, 2025, Murrieta AYLUS members returned to their garden work, diving back into the familiar routine of caring for and nurturing the garden at Jacob’s House. The team worked together to loosen up a garden bed, carefully transplanting sprouts they had grown at home into the soil. With the rainy season in Southern California, the weeds had taken full advantage of the moisture, quickly multiplying in the garden. The members pulled the weeds, making sure not to disturb the plants. They also applied fresh fertilizer to nourish the garden. In addition to tending to the plants, the group gathered fallen leaves, ensuring the garden remained neat and well-maintained.
Members were pleased to see the tomato, cabbage, strawberry, and lettuce plants had grown very well, they can’t wait to harvest them in the near future!
