AYLUS Roslyn Helps the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County at the Bayville Care Center (15th) on February 16th, 2025

On Sunday, February 16th of 2025, from 10:30 to 1:30 pm EST, 7 members of the AYLUS Roslyn  visited C.P Nassau residents at their Bayville location. C.P. Nassau has been supporting many individuals with disabilities for over 75 years and it provides various services including medical and primary care, therapy, education, etc. and it also has places like the Bayville location.

We started the day off with arts and crafts, and since tomorrow was President’s Day, we decided to make crafts that revolved around it. For example, we used red colored paper stripes, blue colored paper squares, and a piece of paper to make flags, and we also had coloring templates for the residents to use. After the residents were done with their arts and craft activities, we moved onto bowling and Connect Four. We let everyone who wanted to play go multiple times until everyone was happy. It was very nice and heartwarming to see the residents so happy and excited during these activities. Volunteering at CP Nassau continues to inspire us to help the residents of these locations. It allows for us to talk and connect with individuals with disabilities, offering companionship and also our support while also encouraging patience, strengthening teamwork, and kindness. We look forward to our next visit and another opportunity to bring smiles to the residents of CP Nassau!
