Activity & Impact
On February 1, 2025, five members of the AYLUS North Hollywood branch volunteered at an Academic Decathlon competition from 9am-5pm. Academic Decathlon is a high school team competition where students show their understanding of six various subjects. These subjects include art, economics, literature, music, science, and math. This was a very large event and the help of volunteers was essential.
During the event, volunteers helped with lunch preparations for the contestants, provided directions to judges, ensured the correct participants were at each interview time, managed lunch crowd and entrance, etcetera. All in all, the assistance of the volunteers helped ensure the event went smoothly as many contestants, coaches, and judges were needed in different times and locations.
