On Saturday, February 8th, 2025, Newtown AYLUS members supported their community by volunteering at a local Chinese New Year celebration run by the Central Bucks Chinese-American Association and Pearl S. Buck International. This event aimed to bridge cultures together through learning and entertainment.
Dedicated members took on the initiative as they taught children and adults through a variety of interactive games and videos. Participants learned about Chinese culture, such as the Chinese zodiac, the red envelope, and how to use chopsticks. Members answered questions and made the event engaging and enjoyable.
The event was successful, and members had an enjoyable time and felt they had positively impacted the community by fostering learning of different cultures.
Members who participated were Ivan Lee (event leader) and Eric Chen, both for 3.5 hours.
