On February 1, 2025, AYLUS Pearland volunteers collaborated with the Friends of the Library to bring an immersive Lunar New Year experience to the West Pearland Library. Arriving early, volunteers set up engaging cultural booths featuring face painting, calligraphy, chopsticks ping-pong, traditional costume photography, and Chinese Yo-Yo demonstrations.
At 10:15 AM, AYLUS Pearland and the Pearland Chinese Association’s Little Dragon Team captivated the crowd with a dynamic dragon dance performance, drawing hundreds of attendees. Excited children eagerly took photos with the dragon, adding to the festive atmosphere. Volunteers also hosted a game station to promote the monthly My PlayClub program, distributing red envelopes to participating children as a festive treat.
With over 600 guests actively engaging in the activities, the event fostered cultural appreciation and community spirit, making the celebration a resounding success.
