On Sunday January 19th, 2 AYLUS volunteered as a pair to set up a cotton candy stand at Coway in 99 Ranch in Plano, fundraising for the local children’s hospital. The equipment included a small table, a cotton candy machine, a bag of cones, and four flavors (blue raspberry, strawberry, orange, and apple). There were also crochet keychains, gemstone bracelets, and rings – but no one bought them. People were interested as soon as the cotton candy stand was set up. When there weren’t any customers, the volunteers would go out near the entrance to advertise with ‘sample’ cotton candies. One family of four children, each wanted cotton candies — this goes to show that many children enjoyed the cotton candy, and one adult even asked for three at once! Some people donated for the cause as well.

Volunteers:
Jenny Lin 3 hours (event leader)
Cheng Jing Lee 2 hours
