AYLUS Lake Washington Branch Volunteered for MLK Day of Service at Evan’s Creek Preserve on Jan.20,2025(#21)

On January 20, 2025, AYLUS Lake Washington Branch members Eric, Jerry, Elissa, Kevin, Emily, Joey, and 3 advisors volunteered for the City of Sammamish at the Evans Creek Preserve. For 2.5 hours from 1 PM, the members transported mulch and removed blackberry overgrowth, contributing to the marshlands in the preserve.  Additionally, Elissa worked in the morning session as well for 2.5 individual hours.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is also recognized as National Day of Service.  Lake Washington Branch Members appreciated the opportunity to contribute to the community on the MLK day of service, and learned to use tools like pitchforks and tillers. It was a meaningful day!
