In January, Chapel Hill members participated in the 2025 AYLUS Poster Contest to celebrate AYLUS’s 10th anniversary and reflect on the efforts and contributions of our members over the past decade. The contest was a chance to highlight the various community service activities our branch has been involved in and demonstrate the positive impact we’ve had in recent years.
Our members created a range of posters, each focusing on different aspects of our branch’s work. Three of these posters were selected to represent Chapel Hill Branch in the nationwide AYLUS contest. Alwin Liu’s “Little Free Library” used AI technology to promote our efforts to encourage reading and share books with the community. Ethan Li’s “Jordan Lake Trash Pickup” illustrated our environmental work and the difference our team has made by organizing cleanups in the local area. Luna Chen’s “Kits to Heart Project” highlighted our ongoing support for cancer patients through handmade crafts and care packages.
We are proud of our members for their creativity and hard work in this contest. Their posters not only reflect the values and mission of our branch but also remind us of the positive change we can create when we work together to support our community.
Volunteers who participated in this event were Luna Chen (4 hours), Ethan Li_DA (4 hours), Alwin Liu (1.5 hours), Eric Sun (4 hours), Nicholas Wang (4 hours), and Andrew Zhao (4 hours).
