On January 12, 2025, Murrieta AYLUS volunteered at local senior centers.
Quickly getting to work, the volunteers split up to lead the residents through exercises and prepare snacks. As they demonstrated yoga and strengthening techniques, the others cut bananas and made whipped cream treats. They also went to visit various residents and convince them to stop by the activities room. After the exercise, the volunteers passed out snacks and fed the residents that were unable, before thickening juice and handing out cups of water and cranberry juice. Clearing away the utensils, they visited a few more scattered residents before starting on the hand massages of the day, taking lotion and rubbing out soreness and muscles. They played with blocks with those that were nonverbal, making mini Jenga games and motor activities. Afterwards, the residents were taken to lunch.

On January 12th, 2025, Murrieta AYLUS members played piano at their local senior center.
Members signed in before going to the library to set up. They also brought pins to hold up the curtains behind them to block the sun from shining on the music. A couple of seniors decided to sit on the chairs outside the library and listen while a few came in. Members would ask between 4-5 songs if anybody had any song requests. They made a mental note of the songs seniors liked so they could play it again next week. Members hugged the seniors goodbye and then went to the ice cream parlor for a sweet treat.
