On January 2, 2025, volunteers from Pearland kicked off the new year with an energetic “Bucket Drumming for All” lesson at GiGi’s Playhouse Sugar Land. Five students participated in the session, including both seasoned drummers and first-time learners.
The class began with a review of basic beats and drumming techniques, allowing everyone to quickly get into the rhythm. Participants then played along with music, fostering coordination and creativity. To make the lesson more interactive, volunteers introduced engaging activities like the “Stop and Go” game and the “Traffic Light” game, which helped students practice their timing and listening skills in a fun and supportive environment.
The session was filled with smiles, laughter, and the vibrant sound of drums. Both students and volunteers had a fantastic time, setting a positive tone for the year ahead.
