On Jan 5th, AYLUS members had a local beach cleanup. They started by picking up all the trash in the upper park which included paper scraps and the remains of a bag. They then made their way down to the lower areas of the park where they found a number of trash including plastic bags and food scraps. However, the main source of their trouble were the bushes were people had tossed their trash, thinking that nobody would see it. They spent a good majority of their team darting between bushes, trying to clear up all the trash that had got caught up between bush branches and underneath the leaves. They then crept through the bushes to retrieve tossed away trash. They finally cleaned up everything and tossed it into the trash.
