On January 2nd, 2025, Murrieta AYLUS branch volunteered at their local food bank, Mission Hope (previously Communtity Mission of Hope). To maximize efficiency, the members split up—half of them helped sort nonperishable food items and donations in the back while half assisted in the produce section. The sorting team worked together to place each item in their respective crates before forming an assembly line to make bags filled with items of a wide variety (pasta, sauce, condiments, snacks, rice, etc.). In the produce section, membeers helped make food boxes filled with meat, deli items, fresh vegetables and fruit, dessert, bread, dairy, and more. The members stopped at 10 for the morning meeting, where the head supervisor gave words of encouragement, read Bible scriptures, and led everyone in prayer. The members then continued their previous tasks, working tirelessly until closing time.
