On Jan.4, 2025, the Greater Triangle Branch hosted a New Year Concert at Seymour Senior Center. Our volunteers would like to celebrate the New Year with the residents while spreading holiday cheer and catering to musical tastes.Volunteers showed their talents on the piano, violin, flute, and clarinet. They also promoted the traditional Chinese musical instrument, Guzheng.

The senior residents expressed their appreciation for the effort and enthusiasm of the volunteers, noting how the concert brightened their day. Some residents shared a strong sense of connection and joy after the event. Staff members at the senior center commended the volunteers for their high-level performance, and they asked to schedule another concert in the future.

The New Year concert succeeded, achieving its goal of spreading joy and fostering a sense of community. The event brought happiness to the senior residents and provided an enriching experience for the volunteers, who could connect with the seniors and contribute to their well-being.
