On December 15th, 11 volunteers (both youth and adults) came together in one of the volunteer’s household to craft handmade pet toys for the local Plano animal shelter. Four of the volunteers were newcomers, and were taught how to craft the toys by learning, working with, and asking for help from other long-time volunteers. As the process may be tedious, music was played throughout as well to keep the volunteers entertained. From 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, we spent 2 hours cutting the fabric from volunteer-donated shirts and tying them, and made a total of 25 pet toys. This is a promising number—as the last time we had made pet toys, all of them got donated!

Volunteers:
Jenny Lin 3 hours (event leader)
Kathleen Lin 2 hours
Cheng Jing Lee 2 hours
Jonina Ou yang 2 hours
Katherine Ho 2 hours
Terry Lin 1 hour
Deyang Liu 1 hour
Ryan Ma 1 hour (donated fabric)
Andrew Wang 1 hour (donated fabric)
Yafen Chen 2 hours (adult)
Sunny Ho 2 hours (adult)
Ivy Pan 2 hours (adult)
Judy Ning 2 hours (adult)
