On December 14, 2024, we were volunteering with other AYLUS members in the non-
profit organization called “Feed My Starving Children” beginning at 7:15 PM. It is a
Christian nonprofit with the purpose of ending hunger. There was a total of 10 people
who came to the organization to volunteer. We packaged MannaPack rice, which used 4
ingredients: vitamins, veggies, soy, and rice. When we were volunteering, we were given
procedures for each of the jobs like labeling, warehouse, packaging, as well as sealing.
We also did some challenges to see which group could get the most boxes while music
was being played. We were table #3 and tried our best to win the challenge of being the
first table to pack 4 boxes and ended up 2 nd place. After about 1 hour and 45 minutes, we
finished our food packaging and began to clean up. We packed 73 boxes with a total of
15768 meals and fed 43 kids for 1 year. Averagely, AYLUS group packed approximately 2426 meals that can feed 6.6 kids for a year. We are very proud of what we achieved.
