On December 6, 2024, and December 7, 2024, Amanda Xiao, a dedicated member of the AYLUS Greater Memphis Branch, participated as a volunteer in the 2024 St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend.
Amanda played a crucial role in assisting runners by performing ID checks, managing registrations, distributing bib numbers, and providing food supplies at the finish line. This significant event brought together approximately 23,000 participants from all 50 states and 82 countries and successfully raised $16 million (and counting) to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and its mission to help children and families in need.
- December 6, 2024: Amanda volunteered at the “Expo General” task position, contributing 4.8 hours.
- December 7, 2024: She assisted with “Finish Line Food Distribution,” contributing an additional 4.8 hours.
