Starting in August 2024, AYLUS Volunteers started collecting, packaging, and delivering tennis balls for Serve2Sustain, a partner organization that collects and recycles tennis balls.
AYLUS volunteers collected tennis balls from local and personal sources, and donated tennis balls to Derek Zhu’s house, where he packaged and sent the tennis balls to the Serve2Sustain headquarters in Chicago and recycled them by their partner organization, RecycleBalls. The drive wrapped up on December 1stm 2024. In total, AYLUS volunteers donated over 500 used tennis balls for recycling. Hours are given by 30 balls per hour for efforts of collection, counting, packaging, and transporting
