Greater Triangle Branch volunteers at the Annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner event on 11-28-2024

On Thanksgiving day, our volunteers went to the Durham Rescue Mission (DRM) to attend a special event. DRM was founded in 1974. Its goal is to mend shattered lives by restoring families and giving hope in the local area. They have hosted special events for years. Today, our volunteers are honored to register for their 50th Annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner.

Volunteers prepared roughly 1,500 delivery meals. Our volunteers were responsible for serving the tables and helping to clean up the dishes that were left on the table. They also helped to pick up the garbage on the floor to maintain a clean environment for new arrivals. They ended up tidying tables and chairs perfectly to finish today’s volunteer task.

Our volunteers are so pleased to have had such an opportunity to spread hope and joy to those in need within our community and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
