Newtown AYLUS Branch Volunteers to Plant Trees at a Local Park on 11/24/2024

Reported by Eric Chen

On Sunday 11/24/2024, 8 members of AYLUS Newtown with a local park to plant 10 trees from 12:30AM to 2:30PM.

Our volunteers recently gathered at Tyler State Park to plant ten native trees. Together, we carefully dug holes and placed each tree, then adding mulch and a cage around each of them, making sure they were properly positioned to thrive in the park’s natural environment. Our efforts will help restore the local ecosystem, support wildlife, and improve air quality. Every member contributed to the project greatly and all had a dedicated attitude. They also enjoyed their time volunteering as they were able to enjoy nature and socialize with other members. But most importantly, our volunteers enjoyed fulfilling the project and the organization’s mission by having a positive impact on the local community.

Members who participated were Eric Chen (event leader), Albert Chen, Lawrence Fang, Ivan Lee, Vincent Tang, Diana Zhang, Ethan Huang, and Justin Peng, all for two hours.
