On 11/19/2024, AYLUS Great Neck hosted a tutoring session in the Station Branch of the Great Neck Library. We met at the library at around 6:00 PM.
This session, we had many people arrive who wanted to learn a variety of different things. Many of them needed help with their general school homework, so Sophia Li helped one student read and one student go through their homework. Similarly, Xingzhi Li helped one student work through her homework and helped another read as well. Furthermore, Summer Lu helped a middle school student do their homework. Finally, Ruiqi Liu helped a middle school student write a social studies editorial as part of her homework.
We tutored for about an hour, after which we said our goodbyes and left. Many students had learnt a lot!

On November 21st Aylus hosted another Tutoring for Great Neck station library. A lot of volunteers decided to help and the participant list is mismatched. However, regular visitors still arrived despite the weather for their regular work. Most of them do homework for their respective class and some requested speaking help that were also provided. Some volunteers did have some free time and were able to do some leisure activities. In total, another productive period for all parties.
