On Friday, November 15th, AYLUS Great Neck hosted their weekly Friday Sports Event from 4-5pm at Firefighter’s park to play with kids who have disabilities. Many activities were suggested, like playing tag, playing hide and seek, and playing frisbee. Today, the kids and volunteers played tag on the playground and in the park. Volunteers worked together to ensure a fun experience and to ensure that everyone felt included. The event provided an hour of physical activity for both the participants and the volunteers. Everyone at the event today is looking forward to hosting more events like this in the future to promote physical activity and also so that children with special needs feel comfortable.
