On November 9, 2024, Aylus Murrieta members hosted a bottle recycling event in support of a local animal shelter. The initiative was a collaborative effort, with members collecting empty bottles from their homes as well as from community events, including the recent Half Marathon held just a week earlier. Volunteers worked together to gather, sort, and prepare the bottles for recycling, ensuring that each piece was properly processed to maximize the funds raised.
The funds generated from the recycling were earmarked for a very special cause: they buy food / toys to donated to the local animal shelter. The shelter relies heavily on community donations to continue its mission of rescuing and caring for abandoned pets, and members proud to continue their support of this important cause for the third year in a row.
The event was not only an environmentally friendly initiative but also an opportunity for the community to come together in support of the shelter’s work.
They raised a total of $32.31.
