Houston Branch Serves at the Houston Food Bank on October 27th, 2024

On Sunday, October 27th, AYLUS Houston participated in another impactful volunteer session at the Houston Food Bank. For three hours, our dedicated members focused on scanning labels on Kroger boxes and various goods, sorting them into appropriate bins for use and donation.

This work was essential for ensuring that the donated items were accurately categorized and prepared for distribution to those in need. By scanning labels and organizing items properly, volunteers contributed to the efficiency of the Food Bank’s operations, helping to streamline the process of getting essential food and supplies to families facing food insecurity.

We are proud of the commitment and hard work shown by our members, whose teamwork made this effort successful. Their dedication emphasizes the significant role youth play in supporting community initiatives and aiding those who are less fortunate. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the Houston Food Bank for giving us the opportunity to contribute to their mission.

We look forward to future volunteer opportunities and remain committed to serving the community and making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
