On the October 27, 2024, three students from McLean (VA) worked together to create the McLean AYLUS branch. It marks the 173rd AYLUS branch in the nation!

The Description of McLean Branch

Our AYLUS branch, based in the Mclean area, is dedicated towards advancing our community through various outreach projects, with the primary mission to continue the development of leadership, integrity, and innovation. Our founders will consist of Sarah Tao, Emma Tao, Emma Tsao, high schoolers who all come from different high schools, diversifying our leadership branch. We project to meet every week, organizing volunteer projects that ultimately aim at benefitting our community. Our leaders have many experiences of serving this community, such as volunteering at our local hospital, food banks, tutors, senior homes, and much more to outreach towards. Our branch welcomes high school students as well as junior members from kindergarten through eighth grade.

Our purpose aims to carry the spirit of service into every individual’s passion, enhancing the definition of volunteering.

PRESIDENT’S VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARD (PVSA)

Proud to be an official certifying organization for PVSA, we reward all substantial contributions of active members (US Citizen or Green Card Residents only), who have accumulated qualified amount of community service hours with AYLUS during each award year (May 1 to next April 30).

Upon request, we can provide a member with a signed letter, certifying his/her Community Service Hours with AYLUS. Please download below the letter template and complete it with your activities & hours, then send to aylusmcleanbranch@gmail.com for advisor’s signature.
