On October 27th, AYLUS members had a local beach clean up.
They started at the upper park, making their way through the wet grass. Past the train tracks, they found a bottle of lemonade at the childrens playground which they promptly recycled. Most of the trash they found this time was at the picnic tables where people had previously dined at. As they went down to the beach, they found that much of the trash had been hidden in the sand and had to be dug up. They then scoured the parking lot for utensils and parking tickets which were plentiful. Finally, they thew away all the trash and kept all the recyclables for recycling.
