On October 27th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS helped at local senior centers.
At Torrey Pines Senior Living: The volunteers started with preparing the residents’ snacks, cutting up raisin toast and spreading jellies over it, then placing them onto separate napkins. They helped lead the residents through their daily exercise regimen, then collected the exercise materials and handed out the snacks to enjoy. Afterwards, the Sunday mass was put on, and the volunteers helped take some of the residents outside to enjoy the sunshine. The residents were taken on walks one by one and took turns sitting in the sun before going back inside. Eventually, all of the residents were brought outside and the volunteers kept an eye on them to ensure they didn’t fall. Afterwards, the residents were taken to lunch.

On October 27th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members helped out at their local senior center.
Members greeted the front desk before separating to the ice cream parlor and the library. In the ice cream parlor, members helped make balloons for Halloween decorations while waiting for people to come in. They also made sure to get out all the toppings and napkins/spoons. In the library, a couple of familiar faces greeted members as they walked in. Members played songs that seniors requested from the previous week before experimenting with some new ones and then playing classical and jazz to finish off.
