Disposing of hazardous waste through specialized programs, like those managed by the Morris County MUA, is essential for protecting human health and the environment. These items—such as pesticides, automotive fluids, pool chemicals, and mercury-containing items—pose significant risks if discarded improperly.
This Saturday morning, October 26th, our members from the Morris branch dropped off all the unwanted hazardous materials collected from the community ( about 35 cans) to the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy.
Many thanks to our MCMUA for conducting the Household Hazardous Waste Disposal event. These specialized disposal programs provide a safe, responsible way to handle waste that could otherwise harm people and the environment.
