On October 11th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members gathered all the cans/bottles they collected from the previous weeks and went to recycle them.
While waiting in line to get the baskets, members interacted with one another. Then they took all the bags and sorted them by weight, number, and the type of recyclable. Members had about 7-8 bags worth of bottles and cans. After sorting through all the bags, members went to go weigh all the baskets. The total amount came to about $25 and members will save it until their next recycling event.
