Reported by Hsin Chen(Julie) Lu :
On October 13th, Murrieta AYLUS members helped out at the Inland Empire MORE THAN PINK Walk for the third year in a row. Susan G Komen’s MORE THAN PINK Walk, hosts over 100,000 participants at at their 40+ walks across the U.S. each year. Since the first Walk in 2018, participants have raised more than $60 million dollars towards their vision of a world without breast cancer
The members arrived at 6 am to start helping people set up their booths. They squeegeed the tables and wiped them down before placing pink covers on top. After they finished, the members had a quick snack at the Volunteers Booth before heading to where the walk will start to prepare snacks for the walkers. They separated each hand of bananas into singular fingers, unloaded boxes of snacks, and placed them to the side. The members were then driven to midpoints along the course to pass out water and ensure the walkers’ safety. Everyone had a great time and were glad to be able to show their support for the fight against breast cancer!
