On October 10th, 2024, three members of the AYLUS Gladstone Branch, Kaden Luo, Jack Schlenker, and Adithya Bharath, attended the Bernards Township meeting “Connected Minds, Protected Hearts” organized by mayor Jennifer Asay about the usage of smartphone and social media and its effect on youth mental health. They led discussions in the categories of Technology, Legislation, and Community centered around finding solutions to restore our relationship with smartphones and social media. They then presented their solutions and insights from the discussions.
