AYLUS Great Neck Branch volunteered at Steppingstone Park (19th) 10/6/24

On Sunday, October 6th, 2024, members from the Great Neck Branch of the volunteer program AYLUS gathered at Steppingstone Park to contribute to community beautification efforts. The volunteers dedicated their morning to weeding flower and tree beds and picking up loose trash around the park.

Volunteers split into five groups, targeting different areas of the park and focusing on either trash clean up or weeding. Throughout the event, the volunteers focused on cleaning areas around the picnic benches and playground. They were supplied with gloves, trash bags and shovels. They collected numerous plastic utensils, wrappers, and bottles. Thanks to their efforts, Steppingstone Park is now a cleaner and more appealing environment for visitors. The volunteers’ hard work not only improved the park’s appearance but also set a positive example of community service and environmental responsibility.
