Fairfax Branch – CAPA NoVA’s Fall Community Fair 9/28/2024

On September 28th, 2024, the AYLUS Fairfax Branch team collaborated with CAPA NOVA (Chinese American Parent Association of Northern Virginia) at the Fall Community Fair!

20+ booths participated including Fairfax County Health Department and CAPA NOVA  business partners. The AYLUS team held a bake sale fundraiser with homemade boba drinks, cookies, brownies, guanshi desserts, and cupcakes. Fundraising was given to help CAPA NOVA continue supporting their educational activities.

During the event, families sang karaoke, enjoyed delicious cotton candy & popsicles, and watched an amazing martial arts performance by talented students. In the end, the AYLUS team conducted a fun interview for all the other booths.

Everyone had an amazing time, and AYLUS made over 100 dollars, which we all donated to CAPA NOVA to show our support for them. Thank you so much to the CAPA NOVA team for hosting this event, and their president Yuyan Zhou for being so supportive of AYLUS.

Thank you to Hanna Xue (8 hours), William Tian (8 hours), Isabella Xue (6 hours), Justin Yuan (6 hours), Grace Yuan (6 hours), Rachel Truong (6 hours), Michael Ma (6 hours), Mingmei (6 hours), Shihan (6 hours), and CiCi (6 hours) for attending.

Best, Hanna and William
