On September 29th, 2024, members of the Great Neck chapter of AYLUS came together to clean up Stepping Stone Park. Everyone was separated into groups to clean different parts of the park. They picked up trash and pulled weeds, making the park cleaner and more inviting to visitors.
With gloves on and tools in hand, the groups searched for weeds in the garden and flowers that needed to be removed. In the process, they found many candy wrappers, cups, and other trash scattered around the playground and garden. Each piece of litter picked up felt like a small success, making the park cleaner and more inviting. We ended by taking out our bags of weeds and trash feeling accomplished.
