In a recent community service event, AYLUS Woodbridge volunteered at Loaves and Fishes, a local nonprofit organization that operates as a food bank, providing essential food supplies to individuals and families in need. On September 14, our volunteers were divided into teams to assist in multiple areas of the operation. Some members took part in staffing tables and distributing food to the community, ensuring that those in need received the necessary provisions with care and compassion.
Meanwhile, other volunteers worked behind the scenes, organizing the storage area by sorting canned goods and other food items based on their expiration dates. This meticulous task helped streamline the inventory, ensuring that fresh and usable items were readily available for distribution. Additionally, our team assisted in restocking the front tables with supplies, making the process more efficient for future food handouts.
Through this event, AYLUS Woodbridge contributed to the ongoing efforts of Loaves and Fishes to combat food insecurity in our community, helping to ensure that individuals facing hardship have access to nutritious food in a dignified and organized manner.
