Syosset AYLUS Members Volunteer at Farmer’s Market 9/21/24

On Saturday, September 21th Syosset AYLUS members made a return to the farmer’s market held at Eisenhower park. This farmer’s market is a combination of local vendors that come together to share their goods. From loves of fresh bread to dog treats, the farmer’s market never fails to provide a product for everyone. On special weeks guest musicians come to play at the market sharing their talent and passion to everyone.

Volunteers arrived early in the morning to help set up all the stands and booths. Flag indicators helped vendors figure out where to situate themselves as the day came to a start. Students also helped set up a separate activity center for younger guests to have fun at. An assortment of  coloring sheets, word searches, and stickers were available. Volunteers also helped keep track of the guest count as a long term data collection for the farmer’s market. As the day came to the end everyone helped clean up concluding another successful day.

Participants and hours: Rachel Zhang 4 hours, Nicole Zhang: 4 hours, Fuzu Chueng: 4.5 hours, David Guo 4 hours.
