On September 21st, 2024, the AYLUS Auburn Branch helped clean up after Food Truck Friday. Food Truck Friday is an award-winning event of the Opelika Chamber. It is hosted in downtown Opelika on various Friday nights throughout the year, and attracts food trucks, live music, vendors, and thousands of visitors who dine, drink, and enjoy the community atmosphere. The event starts at 5 pm, with some trucks remaining until 11:30 pm. We helped put away the tables and benches used for previous event night and picked up trash. It was a very joyful and fun experience.
