Murrieta AYLUS Lends a Hand to The Little Garden of Hope Project (37th) (9/21/2024)

Reported by Jessica Lu :

On September 21st, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members went to the garden.
Members got all their tools ready before starting by pulling weeds. They focused more on the beds that had weeds that were overgrowing. Then, they harvested a couple of bell peppers and jalapeños that would be given to the residents at the house. While weeding, a group came to visit the garden and members introduced themselves, telling them about the organization and the garden project. Members took a quick water break before taking the peppers they harvested and bringing them to the residents. They washed and dried the veggies before putting them in a bowl. Members then went back to the garden and redid 4 beds, arranging the dirt and the irrigation pipes in a more efficient manner. Then, they removed the dead tomato plants and ended by cleaning up the leaves and anything that was out of place in the garden.
