On 9/14/24 our volunteers went to the LI Fair starting from 1:30 and ending at 5:30. The LI Fair had many vendors and attractions. Our volunteers did work in the 4H barn run by CCE. The barn had many live animals like cows, goats, chickens, turtles, crabs, axolotls, and more. There were also animal shows at scheduled times at the 4H barn. We got assigned stands to work at. Two of our volunteers were assigned to one stand and one was assigned to a different one. One of the stands contained information about nutrition and many displays of insects. Another stand was about animals which included many activities like creating a cow bag, talking about newly-hatched chicks, showing axolotls, and digestion systems. The volunteers worked hard to make sure that each stand was running smoothly, and that the visitors had a fun time walking around and looking at the animals.
