On Saturday September 21th, members of Syosset AYLUS helped in cleaning seeds at Bethpage park. Seeds of various tropical and native plants in Long Island such as the Zizia Aurea, Purple Love Grass, Teucreum Canadense, Zinnia Pink/Salmon, and Asclepias Sys. ACA have been harvested and transported to the Bethpage Park greenhouse, where the seeds will spend the winter in a tolerable temperature. Members were able to harvest over 10 bags of seeds from plants, making the replanting process in the coming Spring faster.
