On September 22th, AYLUS members had a local beach cleanup. They started by picking up all the trash in the upper park which included paper scraps and Starbucks bags. Along the way, the found a bag of moldy costco bread which had been left to rot by the side of the road. They quickly and efficiently disposed of it. They then made their way down to the playground parking tables which were littered with trash. There was an awful smell floating in the air and the members had to hold their noses while collecting the trash. Finally, they walked along the beachside collecting loose socks and plastic cups before throwing everything away in the correct bin.
