The AYLUS Dix Hills Branch volunteers at Sunday Long Island Chinese School to assist teachers with their classes. As a reoccurring event, volunteers already knew what to do, and assisted in things like helping teachers grade papers, retrieving and handing out materials. Volunteers also helped in cleaning the boards, helping with class work, and taking little kids to restrooms. Mainly, they watched over the students and primarily looked over the lower grades, where the teachers needed the most assistance. Volunteers worked from 1:30 to 4:30 to help assist teachers and keep the students in line.

Thanks to the efforts of the volunteers, the classrooms were able to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment. Ensuring a fun and enjoyable learning experience for all involved.

Volunteers: Bryan Fan (3.5 hrs), Jonathan Fan (3 hrs), and Jake Wu (3 hrs).
