Activity & Impact
On September 14th, 2024, two members of the AYLUS North Hollywood branch volunteered at a Red Cross Sound the Alarm event in South Los Angeles from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. During the event, the members went door-to-door offering to install free smoke alarms and providing emergency preparedness education. Services were offered to over 20 homes in the neighborhood, education was provided in four homes, and smoke alarms were installed in two. This increased neighborhood awareness of disaster and emergency risks and made homes safer through smoke alarms.
