On September 14th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS continued its third year of hosting the “Thank You Firefighters” Campaign. To show their appreciation for the firefighters who work tirelessly to keep their community safe, Murrieta AYLUS members work together to make crafts and buy food to donate to local firefighter stations. At Costco, they selected items from a variety of categories, including snacks, desserts, fruits, drinks, and more. Members pooled their money together and, with the cash they made from their recycling events, they left Costco with two carts full of food. After arriving at the fire station, the firefighters were just leaving, but they were able to deliver the food and gifts to a remaining member at the station.
