On September 8th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members volunteered at local senior centers.
The volunteers began the morning with some sing a long with the residents, then preparing a snack. While some volunteers cut and prepared a fruit salad with strawberries, blueberries, and cut grapes. Aside from that, the volunteers also led the residents through a light chair yoga exercise. After the exercise, the residents ate their snack and were given juice or water of choice. The residents then played a short word game, and after interest died down, they pivoted to a game of volleyball/soccer. The residents and volunteers got used to a small cycle where the passed the ball to one another. Eventually, the residents got tired, and then were taken to lunch.

On September 8th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members played piano and served ice cream to the seniors.
Members checked in at the front before separating and going to their stations. While members set up in the ice cream parlor, seniors already awaited members in the library. As seniors heard music playing, more and more came and soon the library was filled. Seniors gave members song requests and sang along with the tunes. In the parlor, many stopped to get a sweet treat to enjoy on a Sunday. Members had lots of fun with the seniors and will return next week.
