AYLUS Bellaire volunteered at Project C.U.R.E. on September 7, 2024

From 9:15 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 7, the Bellaire Branch of AYLUS volunteered at Project C.U.R.E. (8303 Kempwood Dr., Houston, TX 77055).

Project C.U.R.E. is a charity organization that delivers vital medical equipment, supplies, and services to meeting the needs of people experiencing poverty, disasters, and violence. The organization is the world’s largest distributor of donated medical equipment to resource-limited communities across the globe, providing the resources necessary to care for patients.

During this event, members of the AYLUS Bellaire Branch helped to sort donated medical items. Volunteers checked over medical supplies and equipment for the date of expiration, disposing of items that were no longer usable. Objects like syringes, needles, bandages, I.V. supplies, tubing, and many others were then placed into appropriate categories of equipment. Additionally, AYLUS volunteers assisted with cleaning up the warehouse work area at the end of the event.

12 AYLUS volunteers participated in this event (9/7, 2.75 hours): Alexander Tang, Hannah Hsu, Evelyn Liu, Julianne Lee, Ryan Li, Victoria Wang, Yuruo Shen, Zijian Wang, Haowen Zhu, Isabel Li, Miranda Wang, and Ethan Huynh.
